Welcome to the project website for the Cobbett’s Pond Watershed Restoration Plan. This project is being conducted by Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. of Acton, MA on behalf of the Cobbett’s Pond Improvement Association (CPIA). Funding for this project was provided through a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and matching funds from the CPIA.
The Cobbett’s Pond Watershed Restoration Plan will be developed through a process that includes the following tasks:
  • comprehensive review of historic lake data;

  • six months of lake and tributary water quality monitoring (scheduled for spring-fall 2009);

  • hydrologic and pollutant load modeling;

  • development of a prioritized list of potential stormwater improvements in the Cobbett’s Pond watershed;

  • engineering, permitting and construction of several high priority watershed restoration sites; and

  • collaboration with watershed stakeholders through a series of public forums and educational workshops.

Geosyntec is hosting this website to facilitate access to all project information and provide a convenient method for public review of the Watershed Restoration Plan.
